Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) announced on 30 September 2026 that it had agreed to purchase more than 10,000 kilometres (3 GA-m) of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) tape from Fujikura Ltd. under a long-term supply agreement.

CFS described the order as the largest of its kind for this material.
