OpenAI has launched GPT-6.1 Terra, a mid-tier model that the company says operates apps and screens more like a person would. According to OpenAI, the model's API prices are 50% below those of GPT-5.6 Terra.

OpenAI also says the model's error rate fell sharply. The stated pricing and error-rate figures are attributed to OpenAI.
