Saudi Arabia plans to raise the minimum eligible wage under its Employment Support Program to SR5,000 ($1,333) in April 2027 and to SR6,000 ($1,600) in April 2028, according to the announcement.

The initiative was announced by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). It aims to boost employment opportunities for Saudi nationals and encourage private-sector hiring.

Under the program, the HRDF covers up to 50% of wages for eligible employees.
