Treasury Sanctions 11 Over North Korean IT Worker Scheme That Moved Millions in Crypto

The U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned 11 individuals in connection with a North Korean IT worker scheme that moved millions of dollars in cryptocurrency, according to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

OFAC said two Russian nationals converted more than $5 million in cryptocurrency for North Korean networks. The agency listed their wallets as part of the sanctions action.
